In expectation of a donation this week from Arkansas Food Bank, Lorrie McClure shuffles items to make room in the Batesville preschoolParents as Teachers food pantry located in the Batesville preschool. The pantry serves not only the families of attending children, but several others in the area, as well as being a liaison with local organizations serving our homeless population. McClure said she didn't know what impact the federal shutdown would have on SNAP (food stamp) recipients, but that the pantry would be ready to assist any families it could.
