Man spends Friday nights at track

SEARCY (AP) — You’re going 90 miles an hour and there’s a hard turn just ahead.

Letting off the accelerator as you approach the corner, you lightly touch the brakes while trying to take in the situation around you: A competitor’s car is inches from your front bumper, another is inches from the back and a third is bobbing and weaving a few feet off your passenger side.

You don’t need to glance at any gauges because the pitch of your motor’s roar tells you what you need to know about your custom-built racing machine.
