Hulett, Russell set April 25 wedding
SWIFTON — Rickey and Cindy Henderson of Swifton have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Miranda Hulett, to Landon Russell, son of Danny and Phyllis Russell of Batesville and Pamela Averill of Cave City and the late Mike Averill.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bernice Henderson of Swifton.
She is a graduate of Arkansas State University.
She is employed as a bookkeeper at Cache River Valley Seed in Cash. -
King, Tinsley plan to solemnize vows
David and Debbie King and Mechelle Morgan, all of Batesville, have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley King, to Taschtego Tinsley, son of Dr. William and Vickie Tinsley of Bangor, Pa.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of James and Rose King of Elkins and Richard and Wanda Morgan of Prairie Grove.
She is a 2001 graduate of Batesville High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She is a senior dental student at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Louisville, Ky. -

Becky and Bobby Utz and Bob Norman, all of Batesville, have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Lisa Norman, to Ryan Shute, son of Corrine and Bill Johnson of Sebastopol, Miss., and John S. Shute of Black Hawk, Miss.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bobby and Verna Love and the late Edna Grzanka, all of Batesville, and Aris and Sue Norman of Strawberry. -
Kellers to celebrate golden anniversary
DESHA — R.C. and Jesse Lynette Keller of Desha will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Southside United Methodist Church.
Jesse Lynette Nash and R.C. Keller were married March 28, 1959, at Desha Methodist Church by the Rev. J.W. Sandage.
They have two children, Ricky Keller and his wife, Melody, of Southside and Sammy Keller and his wife, Toni, of Desha; and four grandchildren, Rusty Keller and his wife, Laura, Seth Keller, Sawyer Keller and Baylee Keller. -
Gormley, Whiteaker to wed
JACKSONVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gormley of Jacksonville have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Jamie Lynn Gormley, to Aaron Colby Whiteaker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Whiteaker of Sidney.
The couple will exchange vows at 6:30 p.m. April 4 at the Anthony Chapel in Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs.

Ganns to celebrate golden anniversary
POUGHKEEPSIE — Samuel Ray and Betty Jean Byrd Gann of Poughkeepsie will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Bettis Church of Christ Fellowship Hall.
They were married March 10, 1959, at Poughkeepsie with Otho Norris officiating.
They are both retired and are members of Bettis Church of Christ. Mr. Gann is a member of the Masonic Lodge at Poughkeepsie. -
Burch, Valentine wed
Casie Burch and Chase Valentine were united in marriage on Feb. 14 at the home of the groom’s mother.
Joe Walls officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Debbie and Rich Kyle of Weaver, Iowa, and Don and Vicky Burch of Gravette. The groom’s parents are Dr. Lackey and Susan Moody of Batesville and Dick and Lorna Valentine of Lexington, Ky.
A white arch was accented with red roses, white tiger lilies and ferns. A container holding unity sand of red and white was etched with the wedding date. -
Reception to honor newlyweds
Jeff Moore and Robbie Lewis were united in marriage on Valentine’s Day in a private ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Melvin and Libby Moore of Bradford and Denton and Diane Harris of Pleasant Plains.
The bride is a first-grade teacher at Midland Elementary, and the groom is co-owner of Moore’s Mobile Home Service.
After a trip to Branson, Mo., the couple will reside in Pleasant Plains.
A reception will be held in their honor at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Velvet Ridge Church of God Family Life Center.

They were married Feb. 21, 1959, at Pleasant Valley Missionary Church in Batesville with the Rev. Otho Norris officiating. Shirley McGaha (now Shirley Turner), sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Charles Lee Goforth was best man. -
