Yancey, Burris set to solemnize vows
Charles and Cindia Yancey have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Audra Yancey to Jamey Burris, son of Gene and Barbara Burris of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late R.G. and Peggy Foreman of Franklin and the late Cecil and Jean Yancey of Little Rock.
She is a 2002 graduate of Izard County Consolidated High School and a 2006 graduate of Arkansas State University. She is employed by Regions Bank in Nashville, Tenn. as a custom underwriter. -
Beller, Sims are wed
Karen Beller and Christopher Sims were united in marriage Sept. 5 in a sunset ceremony on Coronado Beach in Coronado, Calif. The ceremony was officiated by Chris Vickers of San Diego, formerly of Batesville. A dinner reception followed at the Hotel Del Coronado.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. William Beller and the late Peggy Moore Beller. The groom’s parents are Eddie and Diannia Harrell of Hampton.
A reception will be held in their honor at 6 p.m. Saturday at Batesville Country Club. -
Garrett, Martin to wed
Kathy Garrett and Jamie Martin have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. Saturday at Corinth Baptist Church in Grange.
A reception will follow.

Cave City couple celebrates 71st wedding anniversary
CAVE CITY — Dr. and Mrs. Ralph G. McBryde of Cave City are celebrating their 71st wedding anniversary.
Ralph McBryde and Francis Marzelle Hartsell were married Sept. 29, 1938 at the Methodist parsonage at Sherrill.
She is a native of Union County. He is a native Lincoln County and was a chiropractor in Pine Bluff for 40 years until his retirement in 1982.
Both are members of the Main Street Church of Christ at Evening Shade. -
Baker, Amos marry
Nikki Joe Baker and Craig Alan Amos were united in marriage July 25 at Believers Community Church in Batesville. Dr. Thomas Carpenter officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Darrell and Teresa Baker of Batesville. The groom’s parents are Rickey and Linda Amos of Conway.
Music was provided by Mike Foster, pianist.
The bride wore a halter-style dress with beading around the upper portion. She carried a bouquet of various flowers. -
Sullins, Brown plan to unite in marriage
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Elmer of Batesville have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Carrie Jane Sullins, to Nathaniel Alexander Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Brown of Sidney. The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Gary L. Sullins.
She is the granddaughter of Mary Balch of Newport, Mr. and Mrs. John Paul Jones of Little Rock, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Beel of Cave City and the late Mr. and Mrs. Troy Sullins.
She is a 1997 graduate of Newport High School. She is employed at Walmart and Helping Hand Daycare, both in Batesville. -

LITTLE ROCK — Mr. and Mrs. William W. Kimpel of Little Rock have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Jennifer Lauren Kimpel, to Brian Robert Baker, son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert V. Baker Jr. of Batesville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Maxwell J. Lyons II and the late Betty H. Lyons and Mr. and Mrs. Paul H. Kimpel, all of Little Rock. -

CUSHMAN — Karissa Ann Braswell and Derek Dewayne Tharp of Cushman have announced their engagement and marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Dawn Jackson of Magness and the late Wesley V. Braswell. She is the granddaughter of Jack “Andrew” and Sandra Myrick and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Braswell, all of Thomasville, Ga.
The prospective groom is the son of Kevin and Kathleen Tharp of Cushman. He is the grandson of LaDonna Tharp of Batesville, Billy Tharp of Cord and David and Mary Scarbrough of Cushman.
They are both 2007 graduates of Cushman High School. -

BRADFORD — Paul and Rose Needham of Bradford have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Emily Needham, to Aaron Lumpkin, son of Susan and Tommy Conder of Judsonia and Eddie and Karen Lumpkin of Rosie.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Alvie and Fay Needham of Batesville and Cynthia Armstrong and H.H. Allen, both of Thida.
She is pursuing a master’s degree in dietetics at the University of Central Arkansas. -

The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Arkansas State University and is employed by the state of Arkansas.

Virginia Campbell and Curtis Sipe were married Sept. 24, 1959, at a Baptist Church in Wichita, Kan., with the Rev. A.E. Niblack officiating.
