MELBOURNE — Gayle and Carol Cooper of Melbourne have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amy LeAnn Cooper, to Joe Allan Johnson, son of Chris and Mary Jo Johnson of Mount Pleasant.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mozella Barber of Paragould and the late Marlis Rollings and the late Marvin “Skeet” and Josie Cooper. -
McPherson, Barnett to unite in marriage
PLEASANT PLAINS — Sherry and John Garner of Pleasant Plains have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Fallon McPherson, to Clayton Barnett, son of Cliff and Connie Barnett of Cave City. The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Mark McPherson of Cushman.
She is the granddaughter of Lorene Bryant of Pleasant Plains and the late Ivan Bryant and Jim and Linda McPherson of Cushman.
She is a graduate of Midland High School. She is employed at J.C. Penney as a sales associate. -

The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Dennis and Lura Fitzpatrick of Newark. She is the granddaughter of the late Anna Bell and J.P. McGee of Newark and Dovie and Victor Hummell of Beloit, Wis.
She is employed in nursing care.
The prospective groom is the son of the late Richard and Dorothy Aldrich of Cord. He is the grandson of the late Dempsey and Carrie Aldrich and Robert and Cora Smith, all of Illinois.
He is employed at North Arkansas Farm Supply. -

Lucy Ann McCulloch of Dallas and Christopher James Semple of Dallas were united in marriage Saturday in the Stone Chapel at Matt Lane Farm in Fayetteville. Douglas Day officiated.
Pianist and vocalist, Emily Knight, and trumpeter, Keith Woods, provided music.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.L. McCulloch Jr. of Dallas. She is the granddaughter of Eva McCulloch of Beebe and the late Weldon L. McCulloch and Louise Gaston, formerly of Batesville, and the late Felix A. Gaston. -
Willis, Est are married
Charlene Willis and Timothy Est were united in marriage Feb. 3 along the White River.
Bobby Galloway officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Donna Willis of Batesville and Delby Willis of Marshall, Mo.
The groom is the son of Tammy Pulley and Tom Est, both of St. Louis.

Couple to mark anniversary
Harold and Norma McKinney of Batesville will celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary with a drop-in reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Assembly of God Family Life Center located at 20th and Lyon streets in Batesville.
Norma Martin and Harold McKinney were married March 13, 1959, at Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville by the Rev. R.A. Bone.
Mr. McKinney is retired from White River Petroleum Company as petroleum marketer. Mrs. McKinney retired from the Arkansas State Highway Department as district secretary. They are members of First Assembly of God in Batesville. -
Holmans to be honored
A reception has been set for the marriage of Justin Holman and Lauren Hayes from 2-4 p.m. March 27 at the Cord Senior Citizen Center.
The bride is the daughter of Pat and Darla Hayes and granddaughter of Jim and Barbara McDoniel of Newark, Emmett Hayes and the late Avis Hayes of Picayune, Miss.
She graduated from Newark High School in 2005 and is employed at Ag Heritage Farm Credit Service in Newport. -
Smiths to celebrate golden anniversary
EVENING SHADE — Juney and Bobbie Smith of Evening Shade will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday.
Juney Smith and Bobbie Croft were married in Evening Shade on March 6, 1960. The couple has two children, Judy Smith of Evening Shade and Randy Smith of Sidney; three grandchildren, Lori Wolfe of Evening Shade, Ashley Smith and Logan Smith, both of Sidney; and a great-grandchild, Brayden Smith, also of Sidney.
The couple owned and operated Smith’s Garage and Station in Evening Shade for many years. -
Wilsons to celebrate 40th
Danny and Cathy Wilson will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a reception from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Citizens Bank Annex in Batesville.
Cathy Holder and Danny Wilson were married March 6, 1970, at Southside Missionary Baptist Church.

She is a 2009 honor graduate of Westside High School and is a freshman at Arkansas State University.
