• Flood survivor threatened

    Angry that a friend had died in a drowning earlier in the day, a Batesville man reportedly got drunk and went to the home of the man he felt was responsible and threatened him with a gun.
    Independence County deputies were dispatched to 100 Brashers Lane around 9:30 p.m. Friday after a 911 call reported that 54-year-old Nolan Hennings was at that address with a gun and wanting to shoot Jerry Hudson.
    Before the first officer could arrive, police were notified that Hennings had been disarmed, but was still in the front yard of the residence.
