    With a cheeseburger in her mouth and a heavy foot on the gas pedal, a Batesville woman was arrested Saturday night after she reportedly busted a red light in front of a police officer.

    Born July 24, 1923, in Zion, he was the son of Verge M. and Dot McAnally Foster. He served in the U.S. Army in the European theater during World War II. He was a farmer and an outdoorsman who enjoyed bird hunting and fishing. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, where he was a deacon.

    Cave City EHC
    CAVE CITY — The Cave City Extension Homemakers Club met on July 20 at the Cave City Community Center. Vice President Frances Ball called the meeting to order and the group sang “God Bless America.” “Words To Live By” were read by Karen Basinger.
    Roll call was “A recent event that makes you proud of America.” Six members were present. Minutes and treasurer’s reports were presented and approved.
    Plans were finalized for the club’s Educational Booth for the Sharp County Fair.
