ASH FLAT — A Sharp County woman arrested after wrecking two vehicles was either telling whoppers or was hallucinating under the influence of drugs, Sharp County Sheriff Dale Weaver said this morning.
Sarah Mae Johnson, 24, was charged in Sharp County Circuit Court with residential burglary and motor vehicle theft.
She was arrested shortly after 4:40 a.m. Friday after wrecking the stolen car.

Friday was the last day of school for Cushman, which is being annexed into the Batesville School District starting with the next academic year. As faculty and staff gathered into the cafetorium for what was likely the last gathering of those particular persons, they were honored with gifts for their respective years of service and said goodbye to one another.
Washington, D.C. — The city of Batesville has been awarded a $1.8 million economic development grant to convert Emerson Climate Technologies’ White-Rodgers facility, a former machining facility, into a manufacturing plant, a process that is expected to create hundreds of jobs for the region, according to a news release.
