CAVE CITY — Jesse Taylor and Faye James have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of the late J.L. and Bettie Webb of Cave City.
She is a recent graduate of Ozarka College, having obtained a nursing degree. She is employed at Cave City Nursing Home.
The prospective groom is the son of Buna Taylor of Cave City and the late Arson Taylor.
He is a self-employed carpenter in the Cave City area.
The couple will exchange vows at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Mammoth Spring State Park beside the waterfall.
Wenatchee, Wash. — Savannah Jade Warnett, formerly of Batesville, and Brandon Scott Turner were united in marriage on June 27 at First Church of the Nazarene in Wenatchee, Wash. The candlelight ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Grafton Robinson, who also performed the marriage ceremony of the bride’s parents 25 years ago.
The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Barb Warnett of Whidbey Island, Wash. She is the granddaughter of Rob and Gwen Warnett of Batesville and Lowell and Janet Smith of Wenatchee.
Dawn Marie Henthorn of Brunswick, Ga., has announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of her daughter, Amanda Ryan Henthorn, to Capt. Timothy Hall Lawrence, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herb Lawrence of Batesville.
The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Paul Alan Henthorn of Buffalo, N.Y. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James E. Herring of Brunswick and Joyce Ann Henthorn of Amherst, N.Y. and the late Arthur James Henthorn of Wetzel, W.Va.
Lauren Elise Wilson and Corey Barton Throneberry were united in marriage at 6 p.m. June 13 at West Baptist Church with Dr. David Wilson, uncle of the bride, and the Rev. Jerry M. Wilson, grandfather of the bride, officiating at the candlelight service. A special prayer was given by Neal Winstead and scripture was read by Amy Wilson, cousin of the bride.
LYNN — Randy and Belinda Glenn of Lynn announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Cassandra Lou Glenn, to Rickey James Hunter, son of Corky and Geniave Hunter of Lynn.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jack and Betty Rainwater and Sherry Glenn, all of Lynn, and the late Larry Glenn. She is a 2006 graduate of Black Rock High School and a 2009 graduate of Arkansas State University with a bachelor of science in biology. She will attend medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock this fall.
Fred and Betty Arnold of Batesville recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Betty Lou Mooney of Glencoe and Fred Arnold of Myron were married July 9, 1959, in Fulton County.
After spending several years in Wichita, Kan., the couple moved to Batesville in 1964. Mr. Arnold is retired from the grocery business and works for Radio Station 106.1 FM in sales. Mrs. Arnold is retired from the Batesville School District.
SOUTHSIDE — Paulette and Bud Taylor and Carlos McGhee announce the marriage of their daughter, Julie Michelle McGhee, to Zachary Hunter Garrett, son of Brad and Shelley Garrett.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Elvis and Pauline Dugger and Frances Farmer.
She is a 2009 graduate of Southside High School and plans to attend the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville in the fall.

She is attending dental hygiene school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is employed as a dental assistant.
Winfred and Opal Sturch recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
Opal Staggs and Winfred Sturch were married July 4, 1944 in Abilene, Texas. The ceremony took place just before he was shipped out to serve our country in World War II. They lived in California before moving back to Batesville. They both retired from the International Shoe Factory.
