    Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Hughes celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday night at a dinner with family and friends.
    Jimmy Hughes and Bertha Wade were married on May 15, 1959 in Batesville. He retired from the Batesville Daily Guard, and she is a retired cosmetologist. 
    They have two daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Eddie Reves of Sherwood and Laura and Bruce Baldwin of New Albany, Ind., and one granddaughter, Natalie Baldwin of New Albany.
