• Webbs to celebrate 50th

    Charles and Betty Webb of Batesville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Faith Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
    Betty Sturgeon and Charles Webb were married June 19, 1959, in Fort Sill, Okla., by Chaplain Thomas Q. Whitmire.
    Mr. Webb is a retired coach, and they are both retired teachers.
    They have two children, Tony Webb of Batesville and Tracy Rice of Hot Springs, and three grandchildren, Tatum Rice, Thea Rice and Tanner Rice.
    The reception will be hosted by their family and friends.

    They are the former owners of Payne’s Petals and Plants Florist and Batesville Florist.
    They have three children, Jeanette Meyers and Jimmy Payne Jr., both of Fayetteville, and Betty Anne Monday of Branson; and six grandchildren, Jessica Barber, Emillee Monday, Garrett Payne, Zackery Payne, Jacob Payne and Rebecca Payne.
