  • Couple celebrates 65th wedding anniversary

    Winfred and Opal Sturch recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
    Opal Staggs and Winfred Sturch were married July 4, 1944 in Abilene, Texas. The ceremony took place just before he was shipped out to serve our country in World War II. They lived in California before moving back to Batesville. They both retired from the International Shoe Factory.
