Jimmy and Dewone Payne of Branson, Mo., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 9 at Roark Country Club in Branson with their children, grandchildren and friends.
Dewone Apple and Jimmy Payne were married May 9, 1959, in Batesville.
They are the former owners of Payne’s Petals and Plants Florist and Batesville Florist.
They have three children, Jeanette Meyers and Jimmy Payne Jr., both of Fayetteville, and Betty Anne Monday of Branson; and six grandchildren, Jessica Barber, Emillee Monday, Garrett Payne, Zackery Payne, Jacob Payne and Rebecca Payne.
Bethany Renee Harris and Pfc. Shawn Lamarr Allison were united in marriage May 25 at the home of the bride’s parents in an arbor/garden setting.
The bride is the daughter of Randy and Paula Ford of Newark. The groom is the son of Billie Scott of Wytheville, Va.
Pearl Ivy Perry, niece of the bride, served as flower girl and ring bearer.
The couple will reside in Fort Stewart, Ga.
DESHA — Fred and Sharon Bufford of Desha have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Shani Winola Bufford, to Dustin Scott Kramer, son of Bobby and Cynthia Kramer of Rosie.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Medford and Winola Verser and the late Dorr and Allene Bufford.
She received a master’s degree in theater from Southwest Missouri State. She is the owner of Fusion Dance Academy in Batesville.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Cornelius and Jetta Burrow of Rosie and the late Jack and Genevieve Kramer.

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Wyatt celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Thursday.
Wayne Wyatt and Deloris Frazier were married June 11, 1949 at the Desha United Methodist Church.
Both were born and raised in Desha and now reside in Batesville. They also owned and operated Kelley-Wyatt’s Restuarant in Batesville.
The couple has three children, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Sisk of Batesville will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the First Assembly of God Family Life Center, located at 20th and Lyon streets in Batesville.
Winnie Lee Cowden and Virgil Sisk were married June 15, 1939, by the Rev. Jim Burge at his home in Batesville.
They have two daughters, Brenda Shipman and the late Jane Winchester.
The reception will be hosted by the couple’s daughter, granddaughters Rhonda Hoskins and Janette Ellis, and other close relatives.
ROSIE — Cornelius and Jetta Burrow of Rosie will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary by attending the wedding of their grandson, Tyler Burrow, who is marrying Kate King, on June 20.
They have six children, Linda, Cheryl, Cynthia, Cathy, Neil and Keith; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
