ALEDO, Texas — Jessica Fuqua of Aledo, Texas, and Louis Polka of Charlotte were married July 24 in Aledo.
A reception will be held in November.
The couple will take a wedding trip to Rome.
They both serve in the U.S. Air Force as military police officers and are stationed in London.
CAVE CITY — Billy Bob and Billie Jean Pinkston will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.
Billie Jean Johnson and Billy Bob Pinkston were married Aug. 25, 1950, in Cave City by James Johnson.
Mr. Pinkston retired from LaCroix Optical and was mayor of Cave City for six years. Mrs. Pinkston retired from Cave City Pharmacy after 28 years of service.
CAVE CITY — Marshall and Mary Goff of Cave City will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cave City Community Center.
Mary Matlock and Marshall Goff were married Aug. 25, 1960, in Ozark.
They have three children, Tony Goff of Cave City, Greg Goff and his wife, Laronda, of Lawton, Okla., and Marcia Roberts and her husband, Ryan, of Heber Springs; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The reception will be hosted by their children.
All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
OIL TROUGH — Lynn and Shirley Fuller will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Oil Trough Community Center.
Shirley Pipkins and Lynn Fuller were married Aug. 20, 1960, by the Rev. George M. Roberts of Rosie in his home.
Mrs. Fuller retired from ConAgra Frozen Foods in Batesville. Mr. Fuller retired from Entergy in Newark.
They have a son, Rick Fuller and his wife, LeAnna; and two grandchildren, Nate Fuller and Blake Fuller.
The couple requests no gifts.
Billy Ed and Devona Campbell will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Batesville.
Devona Sue Bilbrey and Billy Ed Campbell were married Aug. 6, 1960, at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge by the Rev. Fred Ethridge.
Mr. Campbell is a local contractor with 53 years experience in the business. Mrs. Campbell is a piano teacher, having taught for 42 years.
CAVE CITY — Howard and Margie Pettersen of Cave City will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Friday.
Margie Street and Howard Pettersen were married Aug. 13, 1950, at United Methodist Church in Cave City.
Mr. Pettersen is retired from the U.S. Air Force and the retired owner/operator of Pettersen Bus Company. Mrs. Pettersen is a retired teacher and serves on the board of directors of the Bank of Cave City.
They have three children, Jill Pettersen of Cave City, Gina Pagan of Calamine and John Pettersen of Santa Rosa, Calif.
JAMAICA — Carla Harris and Dale Ladd were united in marriage in a double ring ceremony July 13 at Jamaica Sandals Resort.
The bride is the daughter of Charles and Alice Harris. The groom’s parents are Larry and Marsha Ladd.
The ceremony took place under a marble gazebo overlooking the ocean.
The bride wore a halter gown with a fitted waistline that was adorned with beads at the waist. The groom wore khaki dress pants and a white button-down shirt. Both were barefoot.
HOT SPRINGS — Candy Jean Ballard and Matthew Grant Critcher were united in marriage in a private ceremony on June 27 in downtown Hot Springs.
A private reception was held at Elizabeth’s.
The bride is the daughter of Kenny and Emma Ballard of Batesville. The groom’s parents are Jerry and Debbie Critcher of Newark.
After a wedding trip to Paris, the couple resides in Batesville.
Sally Anne Bone and Jeffery Welcher were united in marriage in a double ring ceremony at 2 p.m. June 19 at First United Methodist Church in Batesville.
The Rev. Bobby Coleman officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Freeda Bone of Batesville and the late Mike Bone. The groom’s parents are Cliff Alan and Carolyn Welcher of Cave City.
The altar was decorated with a large spray of gladiolas, roses and other flowers in all shades of purple and with large tropical foliage. The pews were adorned with white bows.
Melanie Vanderpool and Thomas Michael Patterson were united in marriage in a private setting July 10 in Batesville.
The bride is the daughter of Daniel Vanderpool and Jeanene Vanderpool, both of Batesville. The groom is the son of Leslie Patterson of Locust Grove.

The bride is the daughter of Greg and Denise Croom of Cave City. She is the granddaughter of Jerry and Janice Doyle of Batesville and Lou Ella Croom of Cave City and the late Preston Croom.
She is a graduate of Cave City High School and Lyon College, where she received a degree in biology. She is employed as a laboratory technician at Life Plus.

The bride is the daughter of Sonny and Helen Garner of Magness. The groom’s parents are Robert and Melda Thomas of Southside.
The ceremony took place at sunset in a white gazebo overlooking the ocean.
The bride wore a strapless fitted and flared silk and satin diamond white gown with asymmetric beading at the waist in a vertical pattern with a demi-length chapel train. She carried a bouquet of Calla lilies.
