John and Karla Johnson are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary today.
Karla M. Measels and John P. Johnson were married Dec. 6, 1980, at 20th Street Baptist Church in Batesville.
Mr. Johnson is employed by FutureFuel in Batesville. Mrs. Johnson is employed by Batesville School District in the special programs office.
They have three children, Kara Baxter and her husband, Jeffrey, and Johnathan Johnson and his wife, Jenny, all of Batesville, and Jeramy Johnson of Baltimore.
Megan Lynn Dossey and Jonathan Stuart Wells were united in marriage on Oct. 9 at the John T. Wilmeth Chapel of Peace in De Queen. John Lindsey officiated.
The bride is the daughter of the late Roger and Carylin Dossey of De Queen. The groom’s parents are Steve and Karen Wells of Batesville.
ASH FLAT — Robert and Rose Cunningham of Ash Flat have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Gina Cunningham, to Gene Lovins, son of Bonnie Lovins of Evening Shade and the late John Lovins.
The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. Dec. 4 at Powell’s Chapel United Methodist Church near Poughkeepsie.
A reception will follow at the couple’s home in Evening Shade.

Mr. and Mrs. Steve Case of Batesville have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, McKinley Case, to James Walden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Walden of Sulphur Rock.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert Terrell of Batesville and the late June Terrell and Houston Case of Brookhaven, Miss., and the late Thelma Case.
She is a 2006 graduate of Batesville High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a bachelor of science. She is a student in the Physical Therapy School at the University of Central Arkansas.

Betty Brooks and Delmas Johnson were married Nov. 26, 1960, in Rosie.
They have two sons, Blane Johnson and his wife, Suzzette, of Brockwell and the late Kevin Johnson and his wife, Tammy, of Melbourne; seven grandchildren, Lacy Weston and her husband, Anthony, of Little Rock, Ryan Killian of Memphis, Jill Johnson and Caleb Johnson, both of Melbourne, Keaton Johnson of Conway and Avery Johnson and Emily Johnson, both of Brockwell.

Mr. Kunkel is the son of the late Roscoe and Susie Kunkel of Evening Shade. He is employed by the Sharp County Road Department.
Mrs. Kunkel is the daughter of the late Will and Marie Ables of Evening Shade. She has been employed in the lunch room at Evening Shade Math and Science campus for 34 years.
SULPHUR ROCK — Estelle Bramblett of Sulphur Rock has announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of her daughter, Sandra Bramblett, to William Sherman, son of Glen Sherman of Searcy and the late Vacelee Sherman. The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Joe Bramblett.
She is a graduate of Sulphur Rock High School and Arkansas State University. She is a rental property manager at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Brinkley High School and is an employee of Riceland Foods.
MOUNT PLEASANT — Bob and Dee Webb of Mount Pleasant will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family gathering and will take a cruise in the spring.
Dee Twilley and Bob Webb were married Nov. 19, 1960, in Kansas City, Mo., by the Rev. Monroe Vaughn.
Mr. Webb worked for General Motors in Kansas City and Boeing Aircraft in Melbourne. Mrs. Webb worked for Bendix Corporation in Kansas City and taught English at schools in Violet Hill and Batesville and at Ozarka College.

Don and Elah Campbell will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with their family on Thanksgiving Day at the home of their daughter, Denise Arms, in Charlotte.
Elah May Jennings and Donnie Lee Campbell were married Nov. 24, 1960, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Vicksburg, Miss., by the Rev. Gene Blailock.
They lived in West Memphis for 44 years before moving to Charlotte five years ago.
