  • Shaws mark 50th year

    Jerry and Bonnie Shaw will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a drop-in reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 13 at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
    The couple was married August 18, 1961. They have lived in the Union Hill community for most of their married life and have been active members of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where Mr. Shaw is a deacon.
    They have two children, Tim Shaw and his wife, Regina, of Bradford and Teresa Treece and her husband, Jim, of Beebe; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    Junior and Stella Miller recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
    Stella Kimmer and Junior Miller were married July 16, 1971, at New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Bethesda. The Rev. P.F. Meador officiated.
    Mr. Miller is a retired coach and schoolteacher. Mrs. Miller is retired from White-Rodgers.
    They have two children, Mark Miller and his wife, Sandra, and Melissa Taylor and her husband, Keith; and three grandsons, Wesley Miller, Ethan Taylor and Eli Taylor.
    A trip to Eureka Springs is planned in the fall.
