Fayna Spragg

Fayna Northcutt Spragg, 89, of Cord died Sunday at her home.

She was born in Cord on December 16, 1922, to Neil Northcutt and Stella (Nuckolls) Northcutt.

She graduated from Cord High School and was a lifetime resident of Cord. She farmed in the Cord area for more than 47 years and was a homemaker. She was a very outgoing person with a great personality and never met a stranger. She had been a member of Cord Baptist Church since the age of 15 and her mother was a charter member. For over 45 years, she taught a Sunday School class there.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Craft and her husband, Ken, of Mountain View; two grandchildren: Nathan Craft and his wife, Mendy, of Charlotte, and Steven Craft and his wife, Jill, of Batesville; four great-grandchildren: Natalie Craft of Batesville, Blaine Blakely, Brianna Blakely and Aspyn Craft, all of Charlotte; a sister, Pauline Northcutt Glenn of Walnut Ridge; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Floyd Northcutt Sr., and two sisters, Nita Northcutt Walden and Virginia Northcutt.

Pallbearers were Glen Kennedy, Tyler Kennedy, Heath Kennedy, Lane Kennedy, Chester Shannon, Spencer Shannon, Floyd Northcutt Jr. and Michael Northcutt.

Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Cord Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Childers and Bro. Gary Mitchell officiating.

Burial followed at Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Visitation was from noon until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.
