CORD — John and Jenneal Runsick of Cord have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Jill Runsick, to Anthony Coles, son of Johnny and Regina Coles of Batesville and Rebecca Broadaway of Conway.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of William and Carole Runsick of Batesville and Katherine Johnston of Tuckerman and the late J.A. Johnston.
She received a bachelor of science in education from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
LaCROSSE — Dream Riders Biking for Children Chapter E will have its fourth Annual Fish Fry and Poker Run Saturday at the Izard County Fairgrounds in LaCrosse near Melbourne.
The first bike will be out at 9 a.m., and the last bike will be out at 10. The last bike will be back in by 2 p.m.
A fish fry will be served beginning at noon. Fish plates are $6.
Bike games will begin at 3 p.m.
Poker runs are $10 with an extra hand for $5.
Trophies will be awarded for the bike games, and a 50/50 drawing will be held.
CAVE CITY — The First Assembly of God church in Cave City will host the third annual Deep South Quartet convention featuring seven Southern gospel group performances beginning at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The church is located at 437 N. Main St., Cave City. Admission is free to the event presented by the Ministerial Alliance of Cave City, but an offering will be taken to help support the ministry of the groups performing both nights.
The Second Annual Relay for Life Beauty Pageant will be at 10 Saturday morning at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville.The deadline to enter is Wednesday.
The event is sponsored by Network of Community Options. All proceeds will go to benefit the American Cancer Society.
