SAN ANTONIO — John France, 46, of San Antonio died Tuesday, May 19, 2009, in a San Antonio hospital.
Survivors include two sisters, Judy Deal of Dallas and Jenette Gueller of San Antonio.
Graveside services were at 3 p.m. today at Bronaugh Cemetery in Hardy. Arrangements were by Heath Funeral Home Oak Hill Chapel of Highland.
TUNICA, Miss. — Carl “Cotton” Boles, 52, of Tunica, Miss., formerly of Cave City, died Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Tunica.
Born July 10, 1956, at Noblesville, Ind., he was the son of Eldon Boles and Cora Boles Staggs. He was a security officer for Hollywood Casino in Tunica. He was a member of Maxville Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.
MELBOURNE — The GED Test will be given at Ozarka College in Melbourne at 8:30 a.m. June 4 and 18 in Room 516 of the Wyth Duke Adult Education Building.
The test will also be given at 9 a.m. at the following locations:

Hayden and Christine Bell of Batesville recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Christine Adams and Hayden Bell were married April 12, 1949.
They have four children, Ricky Bell of Batesville, Linda Martin and Connie Duncan, both of Newark, and Brian Bell of Missouri.
The couple’s children hosted a private family celebration.
EVENING SHADE — Hank and Marlene Rivers of Evening Shade, formerly of San Antonio, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary April 30.
The couple returned to Brenckenridge Park in San Antonio, where they took their first picture. The park is located in Japanese Tea Gardens, which was renamed Chinese Sunken Garden during World War II, but has now reverted to the original name.
Billie Marlene Steel and Hank Rivers were married April 30, 1954, in Georgetown, Texas.
Cave City EHC
CAVE CITY — The Cave City Extension Homemakers Club met on May 18 at the Cave City Community Center.
President Judy Breckenridge called the meeting to order and the group sang “America.” “Words To Live By” were read by Rosanne Stitcher. Roll call was “Do you know your LDL level?” Seven members were present. The minutes and treasurer’s report were presented and accepted.
The Cave City Club was hostess club for the Sharp County Extension Homemakers Council meeting that was held on May 8.
Melbourne — Ozarka College graduates and their guests filled the John E. Miller Auditorium for 2009 graduation ceremonies May 7.
The ceremony began with an invocation given by Dr. Wright Pillow of Mountain View. Ozarka College interim President Tina Wheelis welcomed everyone and introduced members of the Ozarka Board of Trustees, Foundation board members, Ozarka’s Administrative team, and other dignitaries who were present for the ceremony.
