Lyon Scots down Hendrix in basketball scrimmage
The Lyon College Scots defeated the Hendrix College Warriors in both halves of a scrimmage Monday at Batesville High School.
Lyon took the first half 43-35 and the second 37-24.

Independence County reached its 181st birthday anniversary Oct. 23. The county was created Oct. 23, 1820, by the Territorial legislature at Arkansas Post, then the capitol of the territory.
